It's pouring cats and dogs here in Ohio today but I didn't want to wait for a nice day to take the pictures. So I apologize for the indoor shots and their not so good lighting and no undercarriage shots...those will be forthcoming when the weather turns nice again. Enough disclaimer...now the car. This is a 3 owner car that was sold new in Pennsylvania and has been well taken care of ever since. The condition of this car is outstanding. It shows all the signs of being a cared for survivor (with 1 repaint 14 years ago). We believe the 56049 miles to be original and there is no visible evidence that would contradict that. And the title states the mileage as actual. It is powered by Ford's big block 352 engine with 2 bbl carbA� that offers 220 horsepower and a Ford-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission. For those of you who are out of the Ford Galaxie loop the XL was the top of the line Ford offered in 1962. It came in both Hardtop and convertible configurations and was standard with bucket seats and floor console shifter (either automatic or standard). The interior was also an upgrade from the standard Galaxie 500 interior offering a different configuration of the door panels seat trim and style chrome accents everywhere and lighting that wasn't available on the standard Galaxie 500. This car comes equipped with power steering clock (working) factory original AM radio (also working) and power convertible top. The recent work on the car includes new brakes including wheel cylinders and a rebuilt master cylinder new tires about 900 miles ago and new window to top rubber. Also a new battery was added in the spring of 2019. This car runs and drives excellently...the suspension is tight as is the steering. Braking is as you would expect after being all new. The engine purrs like a kitten...no smoke or weird noises and the transmission shifts smoothly.This is a great cruiser...one of those "hop in and drive anywhere" cars.
