1964 Mercury Comet Caliente – 95% Original, California Car This 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente is a rare, largely original survivor with a clean title, currently tagged, and owned by only the second owner. It has spent its entire life in California and has never been crashed, with straight body panels and only normal, age-appropriate rust. Power comes from the original, numbers-matching 289 V8, which remains strong even after 62 years, paired with the original automatic transmission—both VIN-matching. The car runs and drives well and has seen a few sensible updates, including an upgraded 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum radiator, and 1965 Mustang front seats. It retains its classic look with hubcaps.
