Seller’s Description: 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III Left Hand Drive said to have been owned by Kenny Rogers. This is an excellent rust free Californian example that was first sold in Texas. Unlike most this car has not suffered from the rust issues that persist and therefore has a superb body and underside . The paint is excellent as is the chrome. It was owned previously from the 1970s by a gentlemen from Newport Beach who had it converted from its original Rolls Royce power plant to a Chevrolet Big Block with a turbo 400 4 speed auto gearbox. The brakes were also upgraded to a vacuum booster operated system with front discs with the original drum rears in place . In addition to his own use he hired the car out on occasion to contacts of his in Hollywood for film use . It was maintained previously by Stanley Garthwaite of 9017 Santa Monica Boulevard Beverley Hills. Although it is said to have been previously owned by the late Kenny Rogers there is no paperwork to prove this at this point. It is equipped with air conditioning , electric windows ,tinted windows sunroof and has the original rear wooden tables . The mileage showing is 44, 367 although it is not known if that is genuine. Although work has recently been carried out on the brakes with the fitting of a new master cylinder, booster and rear brake cylinders so that the car runs and drives, it had little use by the previous elderly owner over the last few years with the result a good service may be beneficial before using the car in earnest.
