This car has the appearance of a stock '65 Corvette but behind that exterior is an altogether entirely different car. Under the hood is fully rebuilt LS1 engine that delivers over 300 HP to the rear wheels during dyno tuning. Sending this power to the rear wheels is a T5 World Class 5 speed transmission. Check the interior pictures...considerable time and money were spent in custom fabrication of the shifter to keep the offset as in the original Muncie. The rear end is a built 2.73 from a 1976 Vette (80 mph is 1900 RPM in 5th gear). Brakes are 4 wheel power disc...all new calipers and lines. All new wheel bearings fully rebuilt front and rear end components and fiberglass rear leaf spring. CFR performance aluminum cross flow radiator and cooling fan set. All new drive shaft and U-joints. Inside the original vinyl seats are heated (hidden switches) power door locks with hidden actuators custom center armrest with cup holder Viper alarm system with keyless entry and interior motion sensor for alarm system (to park with the top down) original C2 style Custom AutoSound radio with fully electronic MP3 / phone conversion and vintage air conditioning. Wheels are Ridler matte black 17" x 7" with 224 x 50 x 17 N7000 performance tires. Also in this conversion...5.3L Comp Cam...headers custom welded into original side exhaust...Cloyes timing gear...Melling high pressure oil pump...Power Master 165 amp alternator...engine dyno tuned by Vengeance Racing...hydralic clutch from Novak conversions...new Stayfast convertible top (top frame realigned and re-welded at weak points by Ace Custom Upholstery)...new fuel tank...C2 retro power steering system connected to LS power steering pump...electronic conversion to original tach...compass / thermometer display mounted under dash.The paint is brand new matte clear coat GM Storm Gray...it is beautiful and really sets off the matte black Ridler wheels and new black convertible top.
