'66 Fairlane 500 two-door hardtop Antique Bronze--original color. Repaint has more metallic in it than original paint in door jambs and inside trunk. Body is super straight and paint looks nice. Chrome and trim are excellent. There is some clearcoat coming off on roof and trunk, but otherwise paint is presentable and the car looks very nice in person. Overall the car is super dry and rust free. Car has 15-inch steel wheels (believed to be 15×5s in front and 15x8s in back) with dog dish hubcaps. Front tires are 205/70R15s, rears are 275/60R15s. Car is originally a T-code 200 straight-six. It now has a built 302/306 small-block with cast-iron Dart heads, Anderson Ford Motorsport N91 hydraulic roller cam (specs can be looked up, but call it big and lumpy...definitely not a stock 289 two barrell), MSD ignition system (distributor, Blaster coil, and digital 6AL), Edelbrock Torker 289 single-plane intake, Holley 650 cfm carb and Crites headers. Trans is a reverse-manual valvebody C4 with a very nice B&M shifter. 9-inch rearend has a Detroit Locker and 3.70:1 gears. Brakes have been upgraded from front drums to Baer front disc calipers/rotors and a Baer billet master cylinder: A good portion of the interior is believed to be original, including the door panels and headliner (both in excellent condition) dash and rear seat. Front bench seat is freshly recovered with correct SMS Auto Fabrics cloth upholstery along with the original vinyl. Carpet is also newish--not original. All in all this car is super-cool and fun hot rod with a definite street/strip vibe. The motor is sort of high-strung and has a totally awesome lumpy idle at around 1000-1200 rpm. It's a great Saturday-night shaker for cruise nights and setting off parked-car alarms. When you really hit it, it revs like a buzzsaw and sounds fantastic through the car's 2 1/2-inch exhaust system that has an X-pipe.
