We purchased this car off the 2nd owner who retained the car for over 27+ years where it was pampered and prized by the owner. Apart from the paint color, and some tasteful engine upgrades from what we can tell this 442 is in highly original condition. The 400CI V8 produces a factory rated 350HP however with some upgrades this car is sure to perform. Under the hood youll find a set of headers, a Holley carburetor, intake as well as a healthy cam paired with a set of flow masters that sounds nice and throaty. The 4-Speed Muncy Transmission performs and shifts perfectly and handles great. This 442 features a 12-bolt posi rear end with 3:73 gears. This car was not equipped with power steering or brakes. Born as a blue/champagne color combination, the original owner had the car repainted in a striking pearl white which has a great finish and shows excellent with the exception of a blister on the hood and very minimal touch ups. All the gaps, hood/trunk lines and body curves flow excellent and show no signs of rust or abuse. From the Chrome bumpers, aluminum trim/bezels, etc- youll find it all to still have a deep shine with very minimal age showing. Sitting on a set of Keystone Custom Classics and BF Goodrich Radial T/As this car has the stance you want, the tires were all replaced within the past year or so and the chrome/black finish on the wheels in flawless. Throughout the champagne interior youll find it to be in original condition with the vinyl seats, headliner and carpeting all showing excellent. The dash pad does show some light cracking which can be seen in the photos. When you open the hood, youll find the engine bay nicely detailed and ready for the shows which makes you wonder what the underside looks like. Be sure to spend some time reviewing all of the photos but pay special attention to how clean and original the underbody of this car is. All of the floor pans, steering components, etc- all show excellent with no signs of rust of previous rust issues. If you are looking from a classic muscle car to get in and hit the streets with this should be of consideration. We put over 85 miles on this car, had it PA Inspected and have enjoyed having it out front of the dealership.
