As notedby Tim on the chassis dyno it made 510 ft lbs. at the rear wheels, this would be about 612ft lbs. at the crank and is making a dyno tested 498 hp I do not believeany recalibration will be required, the Fitech Fuel Injection should be able tocompensate for any variables. I would if you're a hands- on type of guy is to readthe tires before adjusting anything there. Once spring comes and in anappropriate location, do a couple of little burn outs, don't get carried away yet.try to lay down a nice little patch from both wheels. adjust tire pressures also, Ialways ran at 32 psi. You should adjust getting a nice equal pattern. I was running Royal Purple 20/50 and with the big pan 5 quarts min, I have run 6.Tim maintained the same brand and viscosity. I know he had just changed it forwinter storage. The rear end is an Oldsmobile 3:42 posi. Only cars built in theUSA got that rear end, All Canadian built cars got the Chev rear ends. There wasone train carload of rear ends sent to Oshawa for one day of production? why the special order? But there are 35 cars that were made in Canada with thiscombination. So, it uses Royal Purple synthetic 90 weight oil, Tim Only put twoshort summers on the car since I completely rebuilt the rear end, but it could usea gear change, I would recommend that. The Trans is a Muncie M21, rebuilt byme during the restoration. Both Tim and I gave that a pretty good work out. I changed the oil once, at about 500 miles after rebuilding. It too should probablybe drained and replaced. Those early Muncie's do not have a drain plug so it is amessy job, but the old oil can be sucked/siphoned out the fill plug with a plastictube and pump. DO NOT use synthetic oil in a Muncie though, ONLY regular olddinosaur 90w gear oil. The synthetic oil is too thin for the weird Muncie oil slingeron the front of the input shaft, they did not use a real seal It will leak and drip.possibly contaminating the clutch. Clutch is a center force single diaphragm if Iremember. There may be some simple modifications incorporated into the buildthat is different than what other people may/might have done, but that was thebuilder's prerogative, if I can get away with saying it. So, if you come across awhat the ### why did he do this, ask and I will try to explain.180-degree thermometer. 4 core radiators. Power steering pump uses regularGM power steering fluidfront springs 2 inch drop rear springs 1- inch drop.front brakes are disc 1969-single piston, replacing the problematic 1968 style. The rear suspension upgrades are all from Global West. The differential housingears, the upper double adjustable control arms and the lower control arms allhave the cool roto bearings. powder coated black from Global West. Also, the cool aluminum differential cover that adds an extra pint of oil for extra coolingability. The front suspension has Global west Delrin Bushings. The engine has Edelbrock intake 2151, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads withcomp cams roller rockers. forged pistons with a 9.5: 1 compression ratio. theengine was all designed and rebuilt for torque, it was decked, squared, alignhoned and the crank and all rotating assembly were balanced. When I first ranversion 1 of this engine, I used a tweaked stockish Oldsmobile cast iron heads andit made 400 hp and 500 ft lbs. I have the report on that as well. so, after the headupgrade, EFI and better Roller rockers the numbers Tim had, are right in line withthe upgrades (612ft lbs. torque) (498 hp)It has a Mondello cam P/N 22-25-10, .523 intake lift and .541 exhaust, 238degrees intake and 246 degrees exhaust at .50 lift on a 110-degree center line.and finally, the FITECH fuel injection system is rated up to 600 hp. It has aHolley self-enclosed non return fuel pump and pick up in the fuel tank. No Bafflesrequired it has one of those space ages woven pick up pads that can supply fueleven if only one corner of it is in fuel. The fuel gauge is pretty accurate when itsays empty it IS. both fuel filters were replaced last summer so they are good fora couple of years easy. The interior is all stock color as is the paint. The radio does not work because myintent was to save weight and I thought even 5 lbs. was important so I installed a gutted housing that only had the light wired to work with the headlamps. Saving weight also meant I went with an aftermarket fiber glass hood. I also ran with a lighter sound deadener carpet material, these three changes probablyshaved 200-225 lbs. of curb weight. it will get warm inside if your idling in traffic, but it is a muscle car! Enjoy it and feel free to ask for info. regards Gregoh, and MSD 6059 Distributor, Hooker Headers with Pypes mufflers and exhaust."
