1968 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible For Sale Matching Numbers 428ci engine, Factory 4 speed & Factory A/C Just about any muscle car in the 60s could be ordered with a 4-speed transmission, but rarely was it ordered for a Bonneville. How rare is it? According to PHS documentation, more than 104,000 Bonnevilles (model 262) were made in 1968. Of those, only 7358 were convertibles and just 208 were convertibles with a 428ci engine and 4-speed transmission. The engine is a matching numbers (WG code) 428ci 375hp engine (4 barrel carburetor) with matching 4speed M code transmission. The rust free body is in excellent condition with no dings or dents. All chrome and trim shine like new with no pitting. Body panels are straight, rust free and all original. It has had a high end repaint in its original color of Meridian Turquoise. The power top is very clean and has the optional glass rear window. Optional body colored side molding and optional cornering lights add to this cars class and appeal.
