1969 Dodge Charger (Classic Dukes of Hazard Charger) Body: 1969 Charger Frame: 2001 Dodge Viper Custom Designed to fit Charger Body Chassis/Suspension: 2001 Dodge Viper Motor: 2001 Dodge Viper V10 Transmission: 2001 Viper T56 manual trans Interior: Custom designed to fit Viper dash Wheels: Viper Sound System: Pioneer head unit, JBL speakers/tweeters, Pioneer amps, Pioneer subs and box (not shown in pics, can be included if desired; car is wired for standalone amp and two 10' subs) Build Details: This 1969 Dodge Charger was a rust free cruiser before it was turned into what you see in the photos. The short and sweet is that the vision in place (which is now complete) was to have an old school look, with new school technology. The 1969 Charger body was removed from it's frame and wrapped around a 2001 Dodge Viper that had around 10k miles on it. This process was not easy, simple, or cheap. It involved countless hours, endless amounts of custom fitting and design. The Viper chassis was stretched to fit the length of the Charger body. The Chargers firewall had to be moved back to allocate enough space for the V10 motor to fit comfortably. The Charger body panels had to be rolled and custom fitted to allow full wheel articulation. The interior of the charger had to be completely designed from scratch to accompany the Viper dash, center console, and seats. The interior now boasts a retro/modern red on black color scheme, and pays tribute to the powerplant of the 10 cylinder snake beneath the hood. The AC works, as well as the heat. The sound system sounds fantastic. All of the gauges work. The windows are on electronic switch control. The gear shifting is smooth as butter. The sound of the V10 rumble under the hood is unique and makes the car have an absolute one of a kind feel. This car has one of the most extraordinary stances, sounds, and overall feel.
