This is a gorgeous example of the iconic Jaguar e-type - the car that Enzo Ferrari said was the most beautiful car in the world.This Series 2 has been meticulously looked after and kept up. It is simply beautiful and it delights onlookers on the very odd occasion when I take it for a spin. It is a joy to drive. Detailed records are available as well as documentation and literature. It has always been in a heated garage and covered. It has a factory A/C system that was rebuilt in 2001 (changed to R-134-1 refrigerant). At this time the radiator was re-cored and it has a re-cored heater box. The rebuilt steering rack was installed in 2002. The original paint color was Opalescent Silver Grey. The current colour is an original Jaguar period colour, regency red. The engine is a 4235 cc Inline, dual overhead cam six cylinder. The engine was fully rebuilt in 1999-2000 by British Auto specialists in Calgary. At that time it was upgraded to triple SU carburetors, the differential was rebuilt with a change from 3.54 gears to 3.07 gearing, the transmission received new syncs, bearings and seals and the suspension was restored. More recent work that was undertaken by the previous owner was a new fuel tank and pump, a new Lucas alternator, ball joints, master cylinder and brake pads. Total mileage since the mechanical rebuild is only 6800 miles, for a grand total of 42,000. All chrome/stainless was restored in 2007 and is still in very good condition. The frame and the floors are solid with no deterioration. It is time for a new owner to take her into the future.
