1969 M35A2 deuce and a half. (manufactured by Jeep Kiaser) My truck has all the good stuff. I bought it from a surplus dealer, so it isn't a gov. auction with missing pieces etc. It has a power steering set up, (from a humvee) that I had installed by the same dealer. I later made a custom bracket for it, as well as a tensioning system when I replaced the OEM alternator with a Wolverine alternator. (its awesome) I also made a few changes that where recommended on a few forums. I installed a muffler. You can see it in the pictures. And I changed the electronic temp gauge to a mechanical gauge. (these are more accurate and in the event that you don't have electrical power, you will still have a functional gauge.) The engine is a White multifuel. 5 speed transmission, Rockwell, and the axles are all Rockwell. Whistler Turbo. Also has the cabin heater, PTO winch. (worth 6 to 8k by itself) Oil and fuel filters are screw on, not the original pain in the ass canister filters. I haven't had to do much for her. I replaced the fuel pump, the alternator, and the batteries. other then that, just oil changes, radiator coolant changes, and lube. I made the tarp bows. those are laminated maple. when i bought her she had 10k miles. I have a little over 12k now. I don't know how accurate the original hours are. Rear axles always drive. and can be switched to 6 wheel drive in the cab. Tires and wheels are all OEM. Tire tread is probably 70% or so. the vehicle ID shows a build year of 1969. that generally doesn't mean much for a deuce because the parts are the same for every truck from 1949 to the late 80s. So you could have a tag from one year and many parts from other years. however, the engine and cab numbers, and a few others, if i recall, match. which is cool. there are no liens and no title. I have a transferable registration. (NY doesn't give you title for vehicles that are older then 20 or 25 years or something like that. Just transferable registration.
