1969 Pontiac Grand Prix For Sale Original 428 L79 370HP Engine Rebuilt To Stock Specs In 1998 (VIN Verified) M-20 Muncie 4 Speed Transmission (Non-Original), Rebuilt By Muncie Transmission Specialist Dennis Maroudas From Kentucky In 1996 Using All 1969 M-20 Components Very Low Production Combo - The Combination Of A 428 L79 370HP Engine With The M-20 Wide Ratio 4 Speed Was Only Installed In A Total Of 302 Grand Prix's In 1969 Out Of A Total Production Run Of 112,486 Made. Originally Dark Midnight Green (Code M) With A Dark Green (Code 9) Cordova Top, It Was Repainted Warwick Blue (Code D) During Its Restoration In 1989. 1989 Restoration And Repaint - RR Quarter Panel Was Replaced, Because Of The Cars Condition Prior To 1989 There Was Some Body Filler Used In A Few Spots To Smooth Out Panel Imperfections - Body Filler Was Not Used To Fill In Any "Rust" Holes. The Air Conditioning System Was Converted To R-134 In 1999, The Auto Temp AC Control Systems From 1969 Are Known To Be Very Unreliable. Fan Controls Were Bypassed With A Toggle Switch Under The Dash. The Air Conditioning System Has Not Been Used Since Early 2000's - Current Operation Unknown. Power Windows All Work (Back 2 Windows Are Slow Up And Down) 1970 GTO Rear Sway Bar Wood Sport Steering Wheel Custom AM/FM/CD Player Was Installed Behind The Center Console In An Original 8 Track Player Housing In The Correct Spot Behind The Dash With 2 Aftermarket Stereo Speakers Under The Rear Package Tray. The Original Verba-Phonic Electronics Are Missing From The CarBut The Original AM/FM Radio Is Still In The Car. There Are A Few Spots Where The Paint Has Bubbled (Hood Most Notably), Has Faded, And Has Cracks In The Underlying Body Filler. A Good Replacement Hood Is Included PHS Documents Included Driven Regularly From 1994 - 2006, Since 2006 It Has Been Started Regularly But Driven Very Little Still Runs And Drives Originally Ordered With 18 Factory Options At A Price Of $6,032.99. Now Has 21 Options. 324 - SJ Option - Lamp Group, 428, Rally Gauge/Clock, Auto Level Control, G78x14 WW 354 - M-20 4 speed Manual Trans361 - Safe-T-Track Rear Axle384 - Radio AM/FM 392 - Verba-Phonic Rear Speaker 412 - Door Edge Guards424 - Mirror - Outside Remote 444 - Rally Gauge Cluster & IP Tach 454 - Wheels Rally II 511 - Power Front Disc Brakes 531 - Glass- Soft Ray 544 - Automatic Level Control 551 - Power Widows 552 - Rear Window Defrost Electric 583 - Auto Temp Control AC651 - Lamps Cornering671 - Lamp Underhood98 - Trim Black Leather Options Added During 1989 Restoration492 - Deck Lid Release - Remote Control504 - Tilt Wheel564 - Power LH BucketHistory - This 1969 Grand Prix Was Ordered On December 20, 1968 By An Overseas Service Member To Be Delivered To Tabor Pontiac In Atlanta, Georgia. It Spent Most Of Its Life In North Carolina Before I Purchased In 1994 While I Lived In Texas, And Then It Moved With Me To Virginia Since 1997. Two Different 428 Engines Were Available In 1969:370HP Code L79390HP Code L75 (HO Motor) You Could Order AC With Either, But You Could Only Get AC, 428, And A 4 Speed With The NON HO 370HP Option. You Could Not Get AC, 428 HO, And A 4 Speed.
