1970 Chevrolet Gold Monte Carlo Why This Vehicle is Special The styling of the 1970 Monte Carlo, like the one pretty gold one we have here at Skyway Classics, was muscular and made it one of the most popular 2-door models that Chevrolet had back then. It has a great 350 cubic inch engine, gold matching spit-bench seat interior, and a brown vinyl top to match. Features 1970 Chevrolet Gold Monte Carlo 350 cu in (5.7 L) Chevrolet Turbo-Fire small-block V8 Two-barrel carburetor 250 horsepower at 4500 rpm 345 lb·ft of torque at 2800 rpm Well detailed, painted, and factory looking engine compartment 3-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission Front disc brakes Variable-ratio power steering Custom aftermarket wheels Black sidewall tires Power brakes Air conditioning Gold split bench front seats Matching rear seat and door panels Stereo AM/FM Radio System Full instrumentation Wood grain trim Gold carpet and seatbelts Chromed rectangular grille with two horizontal dividers, a centered chrome and red crest emblem adorned by a Corinthian helmet, a thin hood spear with no vertical hood ornament, round headlamps with rounded chrome bezels, circular parking lamps inset into the front bumper directly below the headlamps, and taillights with chrome trim around the perimeter of the lens only Painted In gold Chrome is good Stainless has been well maintained Gold vinyl top Mechanical The powertrain we have in our Monte Carlo is base 350 cu in (5.7 L) Chevrolet Turbo-Fire small-block V8 with a two-barrel carburetor, rated at 250 hp at 4500 rpm and 345 lb·ft of torque at 2800 rpm and it sits in a very well detailed, painted, and factory looking engine compartment. It is mated to a column mounted 3-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission with front disc brakes that were standard equipment and has the Variable-ratio power steering, custom aftermarket wheels, black sidewall tires, power brakes, and air conditioning. Interior The interior of this beauty matches the exterior well with the gold split bench front seats, matching rear seat and door panels, stereo AM/FM Radio System, full instrumentation, wood grain trim, gold carpet, and gold seatbelts. It is very comfortable and roomy and the air blows cold. Exterior Our 1970 Monte Carlo was distinguished by its chromed rectangular grille with two horizontal dividers, a centered chrome and red crest emblem adorned by a Corinthian helmet, a thin hood spear with no vertical hood ornament, round headlamps with rounded chrome bezels, circular parking lamps inset into the front bumper directly below the headlamps, and taillights with chrome trim around the perimeter of the lens only. It is finished in gold that looks awesome with great bodywork that has a great shine and only minor signs of age and use. Chrome is very good, the stainless has been well maintained, as well as the bumpers and the gold vinyl top that provides a great rich and matching look to the paint. Conclusion Our 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has the great look that neatly blends performance and luxury in one package, just as Chevrolet advertised back in that year. This is a great example of that package and will serve you well in your collection. If you have any questions, or if you are looking for more information, please call us at 941-254-6608.
