It does not get much better than this in collectability and rare. Planethoustonamx.com shows 1971 AMC AMX production 1309- 360 cars and 745- 401 ( Total 2054) He estimates there are a total of 375 cars left which includes 360 and 401 automatic and standard cars. This means around 18% survived.
Rebuilt 360 V8 with headers is in final assembly with new water pump, alternator, clutch assembly, distirbutor, plugs and wires. New original high perfomance fuel pump.
Engine was bored to 30 over with new pistons and AMC performance cam
A 4 speed manual tranny is being installed and the 3 speed automatic is available
The floor is in great shape, with a couple places that have been repaired
