1972 Dodge Charger in Michigan ID-97219

1972 Dodge Charger for sale in Michigan (ID-97219)
1972 Dodge Charger Rallye Package (A57), Rare original owner survivor, 1 of only 1,075 produced 2 door hardtops in the following configuration: 'H' code 340 engine (E55), and automatic transmission (D34). It also was optioned with vinyl buckets (E6Y3), console (C16), power steering (S77), AM radio (R11), 3:23 sure-grip differential (D91) , tuff steering wheel (S84), tinted glass (G11), forced upper level ventilation (H41), dual chrome mirrors (G37), hood tie down pins (J45), I/P mounted hood release (J52), rear speaker (R31) and F70x14 raised white letter tires with dog dish hubcaps. This is an early model year production Charger that I special-ordered in seldom seen GY9 Dark Gold Metallic paint from Hanover Motors Inc. in Hackettstown, NJ on October 5, 1971 and I took delivery on November 20, 1971. According to the 'A28' of the vehicle order number on the broadcast sheet, this Charger had a scheduled production date of October 28, 1971 at the Lynch Road, Michigan assembly plant. I have a clean Florida title in my name and all supporting original owner documentation including sales paperwork, build sheet, MSRP window sticker, and original NJ registration/tag, etc. Has raced in NHRA stock classes as well as ET brackets since new and is still street legal today. Won the D/SA and J/SA stock classes in the 1972 and 1973 NHRA Summer Nationals at Raceway Park in Englistown, NJ. This Charger also eclipsed the then current 95.00 miles per hour minimum NHRA national speed record for D/SA at two 1972 NHRA Northeast Division I record meets. Last raced in the 2-day 2008 All-Mopar Southern Nationals at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA where it won the Street ET bracket class on the first day and was runner-up in the same class on the second day. The numbers matching engine block has approximately 15k miles since rebuild in 1987 with 'X' cylinder heads and mild street/strip cam replacing the factory stock items.
