1973 Citroen GS 1220 ClubONLY 46,400 km (28,400 miles) Exceptional Series 1 Citroen GS with rare factory tinted glass option in perfect original condition and only 46,400km. The first owner of this French GS was Mrs. Ghislaine Parisot, from a small town Ronchamp in Haute-Saone region. The first registration was on July 10, 1973. The GS was stored in the garage and driven only occasionally. Mrs. Parisot passed away in 2004 and the GS was sold with original 14,000km to the French classic car specialist Garage de l'Est from Holland. The page on their web site that shows the cars sold, features this GS with the comment that it has only 14,000km (www.delest.nl/autoarchief). I bought the GS in January of 2005. In my possession, the GS has been cherished with my other Citroens - always in a garage under the cover, driven on regular basis (not in the Winter). It has been professionally rust proofed by Krown Rust Control based on the schematic provided by the CHEVRONICS Centre - a UK based GS specialist. I installed the electronic ignition and rear seat belts. Full service/tune-up was performed at 38,000 km by a Citroen specialist including replacement of the timing belts with tensioners, valve clearances adjustment, new spark plugs, fuel and air filter, LHM hydraulic fluid and all new fuel rubber hoses. The GS is one of the most successful Citroen models which is not well known and is actually very rare in North America. The GS was launched in 1970 as a mid size car to fill the gap between Ami and the DS. It was voted the global CAR of the Year by the international panel of 20 judges from Great Britain, Belgium, USA, Australia, Italy, West Germany, Sweden, Finland, France, Norway and Japan. The GS took the first place with 98.5 points, gaining ten first-place, one joint first and six second-For Sale By Owner and Located in Ontario Canada
