1978 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW II VIRTUALLY PRISTINE ORIGINAL BEAUTY REASON FOR OBVIOUSLY LOW PRICE IS THAT THE ELEGANT ROLLS WAS IN STORAGE FOR AN ELONGATED PERIOD, WHICH CAUSED THE TWIN S.U. CARBURETORS TO DEVELOP LEAK. PIX SHOULD CONVEY THE LOVELY COSMETIC ASPECTS. LASER STRAIGHT BODY HAS ORIGINAL PAINT AND BABY BLUE PINSTRIPES. ONE TINY FLAW ON LR BUMPER FLANGE.QUITE IMPORTANTLY, THE WOODWORK IS SUPERB. EVEN THE ESCUTCHEON BETWEEN WINDSHIELD AND DASH IS PERFECT. CARPETING IS EXCELLENT. THE WOODEN NARDI STEERING WHEEL. HEADLINER EXCELLENT.. THE DRIVER SIDE BOTTOM CUSHION NEEDS REPLACEMENT BUT JUST LIFTS OUT AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER SHADOWS. SIMPLY HAVEN'T FOUND A NAVY BLUE ONE YET (A CLOSE COLOR ONE COULD BE SPRAYED TO MATCH). TANGENTIAL PROVENANCE: PRIOR OWNERSHIP INCLUDES LIBERACE, WHO SOLD IT TO THE PALM SPRINGS BASED (NOW DECEASED) FATHER-IN-LAW OF GENTLEMAN FROM WHOM I ACQUIRED IT. THE SHADOW II HAS A PLETHORA OF REFINEMENTS WHICH SET IT APART FROM THE EARLY SHADOWS AND MAKE IT HIGHLY DESIRABLE AS BOTH PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE WERE VASTLY IMPROVED UPON.
