1981 Chevy G10 Camper Van Conversion - Professionally Self Built The Vehicle... I purchased this 1981 Beauville in summer of 2019 and converted it into a stealth camper/mobile dwelling. It has been thoroughly gone through mechanically and serviced with new parts to include but not limited to: Camshaft (it was a weak link for many 1981 305ci SBC engines from this production) (also a good indication this vehicle truly has only 55,000 miles and the Odo has not likely rolled) most of the engine cooling system including Water Pump, Thermostat, Radiator, Heater core and Hoses. Wheels and Tires, Shocks, Windshield, vehicle battery, full brake system overhaul and replacement. Installed modern radio and new speakers in dash + two 6x9s, various electronic switches replaced. it does have some minor surface rust. nothing thru or integral. by no means is she a survivor, but ive put a ton of love into this van. The House! its the little details that set this one apart. I personally designed and built the entirety of the vehicles interior rear of the seats to suit my needs, the needs of a mountain biker who lives on the road for months at a time. systems and furnishings include: Full size bed -2' mounted on a custom fabricated aluminum frame with 12' of storage underneath the whole bed. 12v Refrigerator cooler that fits under the bedframe and can be pulled out, moved wherever you like. Comercial sized sink (think kitchen storage) fed by a 12v electric water pump, push button on/off and tap activated sp no waiting for pressure. LP two burner stove fed by a standard 20lb tank. carbon monoxide and LP gas detector. usb and cig lighter port with voltmeter to monitor house battery level. two AGM sealed batterys feed the 2000w pure sine inverter to supply 'house' power to 4 different outlets (safe for laptops) can be pluged into standard power outlet via extension cord.
