This originally started out in California and was purchased out of Fort Worth TX about 15 years ago. Equipped with a 1.6L Diesel and a 5 speed manual transmission out of a 1985 Jetta. Rebuilt drivetrain 15 years ago and has about 6K miles since. Has been lovingly cared for and garage kept its whole life and is virtually a survivor with about 90% original paint. The White Paint is quite nice and shines at any angle with depth and gloss. I would call this a very solid driver quality vehicle. Undercarriage is very clean, straight, and solid. Appears to be original and painted flat black. All of the chrome, stainless, emblems, bumpers, Trim, and Grill and show nicely. The interior shows great as well. No rips or tears or cracking.
She rides, drives, and handles extremely well, better than you would expect; straight down the road with no surprises. Very tight and easy to drive for any size or aged driver. I would not hesitate getting behind the wheel of this car with my family and drive it anywhere! I just drove it over 200 miles on a recent trip and it ran fantastic! All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, gauges, radio, etc are functioning properly. Air Condition works. Over the last few years, the following hs been redone or replaced: Radiator, all brakes, hoses, wheel bearings, clutch, pressure plate, fly wheel, both front struts, rear shocks, timing belt and tension pulley, both fan belts, new tires, and just rebuilt the Turbo Charger back in January of this year. And to top it all off, she gets 48 MPG!! Too bad we have all the emissions and regulations today!
