1984 Mercedes Benz 380SL roadster. This two-owner example has covered just 32,400 miles from new. Originally delivered to Euro Motorcars of Bethesda, Maryland, it is a highly original car that has never been restored, but rather has been carefully maintained and cherished from day one. The stunning color combination of Anthracite Grey Metallic (Code 172) over Henna Red leather (code 257) was an $853 option. The color is very rare and looks spectacular on this classic body style. The body is absolutely straight with no dents, dings or accident damage. Original paintwork is beautiful and a paint gauge shows consistent readings all across the body. It is solid and free of corrosion or rust repair. Like any classic Mercedes should, the doors shut with a satisfyingly solid sound and the panel gaps are precise all around. Typical trouble areas such as the rockers, rear splash panel and front lower fascia are solid and excellent. Inside, the lovely reddish-brown leather is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or excessive wear. Carpets are excellent and again show no stains or excessive wear. The cockpit wood trim is in great condition and complete, the dash is free of cracks, and even the original black canvas soft top, first aid kit and Becker Grand Prix cassette deck are in place. Inside the trunk is the original jack, battery box and original spare on an alloy wheel. Included in the sale will be the original hard top, hard top stand, books, extensive service records and a copy of the original invoice showing this car cost.
