1985 Volkswagen Jetta in Hackensack, New Jersey ID-1601

have aged it. It has some rust in the usual places and a leaky differential but the engine, I'm sure will live a long life. I drove it on a 500+ mile trip a couple of years ago to Plymouth MA (up and back). It most of the time was the oldest car on the road. Uses no oil.
I've had it since it was new and still have the window sticker. It has a 5 speed manual
trans. and when in good repair will get over 35mpg on the highway.
I'd like it to have a home where it will be appreciated enough to be refurbished. I've been told that it would be good for racing in that the structure of that body style is more rigid than a Golf2. I took it to a Waterfest show in 1998. It was the ONLY one of its kind there. So it's sure to be a conversation piece. The car is in Saddle Brook, NJ.
