This 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo is a very original, three-owner example of Toyota’s legendary third-generation A70 performance coupe. It features the desirable 3.0-liter DOHC turbocharged 7M-GTE inline-six engine, producing approximately 232 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission for strong rear-wheel-drive performance. Finished in maroon paint that appears to be original, the exterior shows oxidation and age consistent with an unrestored example. A cosmetic paint refresh would elevate the presentation, but the originality of the finish speaks to the car’s unmodified history. The factory-style black rear spoiler completes the period-correct look. Inside, the gray cloth bucket seat interior is super clean and presents extremely well, reflecting careful ownership over the years. The cabin remains largely untouched, retaining the original driver-focused layout and classic late-1980s Toyota design. Mechanically, this Supra is sound and well cared for. The cylinder head was refreshed by a previous owner, addressing one of the commonly discussed concerns with these engines — with no head gasket issues. The car has not been significantly modified like many others on the market. Thoughtful reliability upgrades include an added electric fan to aid intercooler efficiency and a silicone hose kit for improved long-term durability. This Supra Turbo runs and drives well and represents an increasingly rare opportunity to own an honest, lightly upgraded, and largely unmodified example. As original turbo, manual-transmission A70 Supras continue to disappear or become heavily altered, this car stands out as a solid, mechanically sorted driver that can be enjoyed now or taken to the next level with light cosmetic attention.
