Here we have a very custom 1989 Mini. This car has had many upgrades and custom touches. It is a RHD JDM car imported a few years ago. Factory air conditioning that blows freezing cold, just refilled and has been converted to R134a refrigerant already. Powered by the original 998cc 4 cylinder with a rebuild HS4 carburetor. Just serviced and gone through, this is a reliable and safe mini. It has a clean Arizona title with 52,000 miles. (81k km) On the outside we see a two toned paint scheme with a high gloss yellow and jet black roof and accents. This vehicle has been fitted with much more desirable MK II Cooper components, such as the simpler rear tail lamps and license plate holder. Faux door hinges, whisker and mustache trim, and overriders with corner bars complete the MK II Cooper look. With the addition of a faux secondary Monza cap, Monte-Carlo styled roof rack and bumper mounted rally lamps give this little mini more of a 'racey' look. Custom LED headlamps with color changing halo rings were also just installed. They make night time driving crisp and clear and grab everyone's attention at shows. They are controlled over an app on any smartphone. Interior is comprised of black vinyl door cards, black carpet, and a nice set of super comfy black and red piping seats. Front seats on seat extenders and being bucket seats allow for plenty of legroom. MK II Cooper custom dash with correct deluxe center pod. Period tachometer installed and functioning. Aftermarket radio and twin 12v power points also fitted out of the way. Recent servicing includes an oil service, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, rebuilt carburetor, new air filter, air conditioning recharged, and a freshly flushed cooling system. Also fitted are power brakes and an auxiliary electric cooling fan. This mini cruises on the freeway just fine with its highway gear set.
