Description
This 1966 Mustang has been meticulously preserved and recently recommissioned for driving enjoyment. Finished in Candy Red with a fresh four-year-old paint job, the body is rust-free and stored in a residential garage away from harsh weather and salt roads. The 289 C.I.
V8 engine runs strong, equipped with a new rally two-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust system, and air conditioning. The rebuilt C4 three-speed transmission features a new kickdown cable, transmission mount, and rear U-joints, paired with a rebuilt differential and fresh axle bearings and seals. Extensive recent work includes a complete brake system overhaul with new power booster, master cylinder, all hardware and wheel cylinders, plus comprehensive suspension updates: new control arms with bushings, coil spring insulators and mounts, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, and rear shocks with new spring bushings.
Additional recent service includes all new drive belts, alternator, voltage regulator, radiator and oil line flush, front bumper rechrome, and A/C retrofit. The pony interior features cluster gauges and LED dash lighting. This is a well-maintained, honest classic ready to enjoy on the road.

Classic Ford Mustang Buyer's Guide
The Ford Mustang launched on April 17, 1964 and sold a million units faster than any car in American history. Sixty years later, the first-generation Mustang (1964½-1973) remains the cornerstone of the classic car hobby — the gateway car for new collectors, the trophy car for veteran enthusiasts, and the most cloned, faked, and re-stamped muscle car on the market. Whether you're hunting a base inline-six coupe or a documented Boss 429, knowing what separates the real cars from the tribute builds is the difference between an investment and a money pit.
