Description
1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 with Marti Report I know the history going back 25 years. The car comes with a Marti report. It had 1 repaint 15 years ago and I'm told it really didn't need it then. It was owned by a Ford dealer at that time and his body shop painted it.
They also went through the motor to freshen it up. The previous owner had the engine bay professionally restored. I installed a new Holley 650 recently. The underneath is super nice and the paint is a solid 9 out of 10.
The interior is very nice but the headliner needs replacing. The correct replacement headliner comes with the car. The trunk is reconditioned as well. This is a super nice example of a very rare Mustang.
Only 1806 were ever built and roughly 600 remain. This car is in the 1971 Boss 351 Registry. Classic Ford Mustang Buyer's Guide
The Ford Mustang launched on April 17, 1964 and sold a million units faster than any car in American history. Sixty years later, the first-generation Mustang (1964½-1973) remains the cornerstone of the classic car hobby — the gateway car for new collectors, the trophy car for veteran enthusiasts, and the most cloned, faked, and re-stamped muscle car on the market. Whether you're hunting a base inline-six coupe or a documented Boss 429, knowing what separates the real cars from the tribute builds is the difference between an investment and a money pit.
