This 1988 Ford Mustang LX is a battle-tested bracket racer with serious credentials. Fresh 434 cubic inch engine featuring a Dart block, aluminum Koonce heads, and stainless steel valves produces a conservative 980 horsepower at 14.5:1 compression. Built for nitrous capability up to 250 shot but never used.

Only 10 passes on the new motor. Two speed Powerglide transmission with trans brake and air shifter keeps launches consistent and hard at 7,000 rpm. Holley Dominator 1,250 carb feeds a custom high rise manifold.

The engine bay is meticulous with stainless headers, ARP bolts, and a monster aluminum radiator keeping temperatures in check. Brand new wiring harness with upgraded grid installed over winter, paired with a 470 Mega dial board featuring digital delay and reaction tester. Runs high 8-second quarters reliably. 10 inch sticky rear rubber on 15 inch double bead lock wheels.

New double adjustable shocks throughout with fully adjustable front struts. Disc brakes all around, fire suppression system, and current 850 certification. Street legal lights functioning. Owned and raced for over a decade by a dedicated enthusiast.
