Description
1990 GMC Sierra SLE – 5.3 LS Swap, 4L80, Lowered, New A/C, Color Matched Tonneau & Bumpers, Dakota Digital Gauges, Killer Stereo, Black Beauty! 1990 GMC Sierra SLE – C/K is a series of trucks that were manufactured by General Motors. Marketed under the Chevrolet and GMC brands, the C/K series included a wide range of vehicles. While most commonly associated with pickup trucks, the model line also included chassis-cab trucks and medium-duty trucks and served as the basis for GM full-size SUVs.
The fourth-generation C/K was introduced in April 1987 for the 1988 model year. The first line not assigned a generational moniker by General Motors, it is known by its GMT400 internal codename. Slightly smaller in cab dimensions than the Rounded Line generation, the fourth-generation C/K increased interior space over its predecessor.
In a branding change, the C/K nomenclature became exclusive to Chevrolet, as all GMC pickups became Sierras (GMC retained the C/K nomenclature for its internal model codes). Chevrolet introduced several specialized variants of the C/K series, including the work-oriented W/T 1500, off-road Z71, and the high-performance 454SS. There have been some trends we’ve seen come and go but none have been as strong as the demand for great OBS (1988-1998) GM trucks.
As the super low miles “grandpa” trucks get harder and harder to find, many have migrated toward building these trucks to meet their taste. While some restore them to original condition, others opt to integrate a more modern grade of performance and technology. This exceptional GMC Stepside is one such vehicle and we think the results of numerous man hours has led to an amazing outcome.
Not to mention, this truck would be almost impossible to build at our low asking price. An upgraded drivetrain, upgraded gauges, new stance, and a killer sound system are a few of the highlights that separate this GMC from the masses.

Classic GMC Sierra Buyer's Guide
The GMC Sierra is the upmarket twin of the Chevrolet C/K full-size pickup line, sharing platform and mechanicals but with distinctive GMC styling, badging, and interior trim. Across nearly thirty years of classic-era production (1971-1998), the Sierra defined the upper end of GMC truck ownership — particularly in the Sierra Classic, Sierra Grande, and Sierra SLE high-trim variants. The 1973-1987 square-body era is the most actively collected today, with the 1988-1998 OBS (Old Body Style) era following closely behind. Don't buy somebody else's project — the frame and the cab are non-negotiable. Either buy a finished Sierra or buy a clean rust-free truck and build it yourself.
