Description
1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Woody Wagon Spectacular and elegant with so many outstanding designs features. Excellent quality complete Body Off Rotisserie restoration in 2007. Complete twenty-two-page. ‘Surf’s Up Dude’! Where do I start? This Woody is stunning.
It was restored to be an excellent driver, not a show queen. All the oak/ash wood is new inside and out. Interior upholstery new, chrome new and stainless is excellent. Drivetrain rebuilt. 215 cubic inch flathead 6-cylinder engine runs excellent.
Three on the tree manual transmission shifts smooth. This amazing time capsule is one of only 3,443 built in 1949 and is one of the few surviving examples, restored to this level. Note the art deco style bumpers front and rear.
From the rear it resembles the front of a VW bus. I love the V windshield and the visor. Do not miss the A/C vent on the hood. The dash inside is stunning. Lots of chrome and distinct features. This Woody has three full rows of seating for 6 or more.
Center seat folds down for easy access to rear seat. Gauges are original and they reflect that this Woody Wagon has been driven a total of 17,370 (believe actual) miles over its lifetime. The original wood rack, comes with two cool surfboards, a vintage Coke ice cooler, some 60’s style bongo drums and a wicker picnic basket.
How fun is that. Note the wood armrests and mirror inside are mini surf boards. Honestly, this classic Woody belongs on a beach somewhere. Title it is free from encumbrances, but when it was titled and will contain a statement that states...Issued on statement of applicant.
The statement expires 3/7/27. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Cadillac, Michigan. **We do have a showroom with about 25 cars that is by appointment only **Please Call First and talk to one of our reps at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 **

Plymouth Special Deluxe Buyer's Guide
Jim Vasquez here. The Plymouth Special Deluxe doesn't get the hot rod reverence of a Mercury Eight or the concours spotlight of a Lincoln Continental, but it has something neither of those cars can offer: accessibility. These were working-class cars when they were new, built to carry families rather than to impress, and they've aged into honest, affordable classics that reward the buyer who appreciates substance over status.
I have a specific appreciation for the Special Deluxe because the kustom culture that I love drew from every corner of early American cars — not just the premium brands. The Plymouth flathead six was tuned and customized by builders who didn't have Mercury money but had the same skills and the same dreams. Some of the most interesting early kustoms were built on Plymouths and DeSotos because the builders worked with what they had.
