Running up to four auction lanes simultaneously, Mecum Kissimmee covers the full spectrum of the collector market: muscle cars, trucks, barn finds, European sports cars, and everything in between. Unlike Barrett-Jackson's focus on pristine show cars, Mecum embraces honest drivers and project cars, making it accessible at every price point.

Mecum has a dedicated "Barn Find" section — cars sold as-found, often with decades of dust and original patina intact. Some of the most historically significant discoveries in the collector car world have crossed the Mecum block without being restored.
The highest price ever achieved at a Mecum auction was $3.85 million for a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Kissimmee — one of only 69 built with the all-aluminum 427 engine.
Kissimmee, Florida was chosen partly for the weather — January in central Florida is mild enough for outdoor staging, unlike the Midwest auctions that Mecum started with.
History
Mecum Auctions was founded by Dana Mecum in 1988, initially focused on muscle cars in the Midwest. The Kissimmee event began in the 1990s and has grown into the anchor event of the American classic car auction calendar. Mecum now runs over 20 events per year across the US, but Kissimmee in January — running concurrent with Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale — is the flagship, typically generating over $100 million in sales in a single week.
