Description
This is a meticulously executed Grand Sport tribute inspired by the legendary chassis #0004—the very car driven by Don Yenko for owner Grady Davis. Rescued from an Ohio junkyard in 2000 as a bare silver shell, it has been comprehensively rebuilt with period-correct performance credentials. The heart is a stroked 377 cubic inch LT1 based on 1971 Corvette architecture, tuned to 10:1 compression with forged pistons, big valve heads, and Weber DCOE carbs flowing through a cross ram intake.
Power flows through a close-ratio Muncie four-speed to a modern suspension system featuring adjustable coil-overs and Carrera shocks, complemented by four-wheel disc brakes and 60-series Goodyear Eagles. The cockpit retains the original dark blue seats and carpeting, updated with white-faced Autometer gauges, Simpson racing harnesses, and a roll bar. Practical touches include Vintage Air conditioning, tilt steering, power assist, and an AM/FM radio with CD player.
Finished in Mecom Racing Blue with Halibrand knock-off wheels, tube frame chassis, and a rear storage trunk, this is an authentically spirited driver's machine with legitimate vintage racing DNA.

Classic Chevrolet Corvette Buyer's Guide
The Chevrolet Corvette has been America's sports car for over seventy years, but the classic Corvette market splits into three distinct generations, each with its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. The C1 (1953-1962), C2 mid-year (1963-1967), and C3 shark (1968-1982) cover three decades of evolution from solid-axle straight-six convertibles to small-block legends to LT-1-powered chrome-bumper cars. Knowing which Corvette is yours — and what it actually is versus what the seller claims — is the difference between a sound investment and an expensive lesson.
