1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe - All Steel Award Winning 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe Radiator: Aluminum Fan Spal 2700 CFM Engine: 355/400 HP, 4 bolt mains, Bored 30 over, Line Bored, Decked, Rods Reconditioned, Flat Top Pistons, 11 to 1 Compression MSD Distributor, Edelbrock Carburetor (2) 500 CFM, Heads are reconditioned early Corvette Aluminum, Angle plug with 11 to 1 compression, Valves with 202 3 faced angles, Exhaust were 190's, Some Porting was done on the heads, The cam came out of a Nascar Racing Engine. It's power range is from 0 to 7,000. Capable of carring 17 inches of vacuum. Transmission: 700R B&H Built to hold 400 HP Rear End: 9' Ford Rear-End with drum brakes Front End: Heights Tubular Mustang Front end with power steering and disc brakes. Body: 1940 Stock steel body. Frame: 1940 Stock steel frame with some boxing and some modifications to the center of frame to fit transmission. 2 airbags were mounted in back to mak for a more comfortable ride. Wheels: Intro 17' tires Paint: Snow White Pearl and Ultra Orange Pearl from house of Kolors Pearls Interior is cream colored with leather seats, ostrich leather with 'V8' embroidered on each seat. Does have a full back seat. Air and Heat Removable wipers Beautifully finished trunk We entered only 7 car shows last season and won 4 'Best of Shows,' including the Capitola Rod and Custom Show, the Concours Auto Rally on the Monterey Peninsula and the Hot Rods on the Green Show. Amazing car! It has the WOW factor. Lots of Chrome in the engine!
