This is a 1950 Ford F-5 Flatbed Truck 1.5 Ton, short nose with a COE (Cab Over Engine). This truck is painted Birch Grey which is a Ford factory color. This flatbed had a cab on restoration and was taken down to the bare metal. It didn't require much metal work, just one little part on the floor board that needed a plate Special wood was used from an old vintage truck bed called 'iron wood' Close grain tropical hardwood on flatbed. This truck has new tires, 7 in total with powder coated rims. The frame and 12' flatbed were shortened and undercarriage built up, very recent brakes and both front and rear drums were turned. This truck has the original seats with a rebuilt spring loaded bottom. This truck has a 239 CI Flathead V8 Ford Engine with 48,542 miles and has brand new wiring harness with fabric covered wires. This truck has a 4 speed manual transmission with a granny low and likes to do 45 mph. Comes with original stakes that are not restored.
