1950 Baby Lincoln Very similar to a 1949, 1950 and 1951 Mercury. It originally came with a V8 flat head engine and standard transmission. It was a running, complete car before restoration. Restoration process, to date, includes: car was completely dismantled down to the frame, all components were removed from the frame and the frame was vatted in a liquid vat to remove all impurities from the frame. Frame was primed and painted with Du Pont Imron black paint. All suspension and steering was dismantled and vatted. Then was primed and painted. New A-frame bushings and ball-joints were installed along with new coil springs. New center link and tie rod ends and pitman arm were also installed. Steering gear box was dismantled, new seals and bearings were installed and re-installed on frame. Body was completely dismantled and sandblasted. Doors were removed and all glass and mechanisms were removed from the doors. Body was primed and painted light blue. Body was remounted on frame with all new supports. Installed 1997 Mustang 5.0 V8 engine and automatic transmission. Engine was painstakingly installed, to where the correct angle on the engine was achieved. Installed Mustang wiring harnesses and computers. Installed new dual exhaust system, front to rear. Manufactured and balanced drive shaft converting from Mustang automatic to original Lincoln differential. This car has break shoe system front and rear as original, was not converted to disc brakes. The cruise control and air conditioning was used from the Mustang with the exception of the custom air conditioning system that was fitted into the Lincoln dash. I have most of the parts to finish the car, but not all. I have new door glass, window regulators, door strikers, and other pieces to complete it, but not all. I have rear fender skirts, complete, but in need of restoration. I am still missing the right front fender. I have front and rear bumpers that have not been re chromed, but in need of. I have the left front fender and hood that have not been vatted or painted. I have the original grill that has been re chromed. I have new vent windows and moldings for the front doors. This car runs and is drivable in its current condition. Over $24,000 invested to date.Doors: 4Condition: UsedCertified: 0
