1953 BUICK SPECIAL Listing: Owner bought this car from a huge car collector and he had it stored away for 20 years or more in a barn. It is 1 of the most solid 53 Buick 2 door hardtops out there and has a good straight body other then a little dent above the rear fender on the drivers side above the tire and little dent on passenger front fender by the light, everyone loves the way this car aged and for 66 years old it is amazing its still in this shape and runs great. Still has the Straight 8 in it with a automatic transmission.Owner put a new 6 volt battery in it and a electric fuel pump on it and dropped the tank and found a few holes so I just ran a jug under the hood to get it going and it works fine. I drove it down the highway the brakes still work and the transmission shifts fine and all the lights,blinkers,horn wipers,cigarette lighter and etc still works. The odometer only shows 59,573 and considering the seats,door panels and steering wheel are so clean where usually there would be worn out owner thinks the miles are correct because it was stored so long. The gauges are nice and the original floor mat is still in it. The original seats would look fine if they could be sewed back where they split. Original headliner still in tact. The door panels look good and with some simple green and a brush they would look even better. The rockers are extremely clean and solid. The floors are great only 1 patch on the rear driver side everything else looks good. Needs a windshield and the side glass, the rear is good, 1 of the vent windows and small rear window is good as well. Some kids broke them out years back. Original hubcaps minus 1 is on it and the owner put new tires on it when he parked it but there older but look good. Needs a new gas tank. If someone would just do glass and replace the old hoses and belts and do the basic tune up, tires tank etc this would make a awesome driver. Its a smooth running car and looks great with the original patina.Doors: 2
