1953 GMC 3100 5-window (Deluxe Cab) was treated to an extensive restoration in 2015. The majority of the truck was disassembled before paint, the interior is all new, and the drivetrain was completely rebuilt. Although this GMC retains its original Hydramatic transmission, the engine was upgraded to a 302 inline-6 donated from a 1953 GMC wrecker. The extra cubic inches coupled with the Hydramatic make the truck a blast to drive when compared to other '47-'53s. As far as history, this truck remained in the original family from 1953-2012. During that time, the truck spent several years off the road. In total it was parked for apprx 40 years while it was in the custody of 2 different family members. When purchased by the 2nd owner in 2012, it was treated to a full restoration over the next 2 year period. Today this GMC stands tall and will make the next owner proud.
