One owner until 2018 and it's documented. Very good driver that is in need of some body work on the lower sections of the car but it runs and drives excellent (you could drive it to Cali tomorrow if you desired!) and the interior is in AMAZING condition! Remember your parents or grand parents sofa's with the heavy plastic on them that we used to laugh at and stick to? LOL... Well, this has that on the front and rear seats since 1956 and I cut a small hole on the passenger side to check the condition and the material (vinyl) is still beautiful and perfect underneath the plastic! So, the interior is gorgeous! The miles were recorded on the radiator support with duck tape by the original owner, yes, the ORIGINAL OWNER, of the oil changes and you can clearly see how old the early stickers are. He would remove the oldest ones when needed and replace them with new pieces of duck tape and stickers. It's a true and real 49k orig miles and I know it because my buddy got the car from the original owner from the estate! It is absolutely the original engine (never removed from the car) and most likely the original transmission and rear. It is an 8 cyl 265 engine and it purrs like a kitten. The top works but is a little slow and is in very nice shape with no wear or rips or tears anywhere. The underside is pictured and is in nice shape, solid. Trunk is pretty nice but has a small thin rust spot where you see the surface rust but the rest is original and solid, as you can see. All of the lights and gauges work and yes, the gas gauge works perfectly! This car is super original, NOTHING has been detailed, cleaned, painted, nothing! I didn't even wipe down the car or dust it off for these pictures I promise you. What you see is how the car has been since being pulled from storage 4 years ago and mechanically freshened. The tops of the paint is fine and needs nothing so I got a price from my body and paint guy to fix the rust spots and paint all the lowers and he gave me a price of $3500 and trust me, the rust would never come back in those spots ever again and the paint would match perfectly.
