Here we have a 1956 Lincoln Mark II. The current owner originally purchased this car to be the correct donor chassis for his 1955 Lincoln Futura Concept Replica build and has decided it's way too nice to cut up for his needs. This car is 1 of 2 that the prior owner custom modified with molded-in bumpers that was such an incredible custom at the time, it sold at Mecum auction for $262,000.00. Fast forward. The previous owner having risked modifying such a low production in demand vehicle decided to see if lightning would strike twice and commenced a 2nd build of the same car with his 2nd car for the obvious benefit(s). He poured $40k in metal work to solidify the floors, firewall, tunnel and molded the bumper(s) in front and rear as part of this 2nd build effort. He modified the frame to include Wilwood disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. The metal work to body and frame are clearly evident for their quality. Here's where things turned. The previous owner died leaving his widow to fare for the $40k build cost. Then the SHOP owner died leaving his widow to sell this car as part of the estate. The current owner bought the car with most of the metal work done, (2) windshields, (1) backglass, and a ton of parts many of which were labeled in baggies etc. For example he has 3 really decent rocker mouldings which he's told could command up to $1000.00 alone for their rarity. There is an engine/transmission but it was left outside in the weather and picked over a bit so the original 368 engine is included, but suspect at best (not sure if it's seized or not). The current owner has a lot of exterior trim, but virtually NOTHING for the interior except a left & right grey-colored door interior trim panel(s). So, what is offered here is a rare car that someone poured $40k into and a lot of time and attention to get to this point as the perfect BLANK SLATE for another $200k custom build. He has the hood, doors, and deck lid that will go on this car.Trim: Mark IIDoors: 2
