The body was stripped down and massaged for hundreds of hours, matching the gaps in all doors, hood and trunk. The body was then shot in a 2K primer and sealer and finished in original Volkswagen Coral Red. The 1600cc 4-cylinder engine was pulled and rebuilt by German air-cooled specialist Carl Fowler, and is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior has been restored using the original vintage-style vinyl interior with the two-tone red and off-white color scheme. A set of original color-matched wheels with whitewall tires and the vintage luggage rack complete the classic VW look.
