1968 Lincoln Continental four door with the factory suicide rear doors. Appraised at $32,000. This is one awesome, head turning car. I had the car repainted with a pearl white from the 2014 Mercury line up. The top was painted a metallic black to match the fresh black leather interior. I purchased 22" wheels that was just put on the car one week ago with new tires. I had the windows professionally tinted 20% and all are in great condition. When I had the car painted I had the side trim removed to clean the look up and still have the original trim that will go to the new buyer. The holes from the trim was welded and smoothed out as it should have been not just bondoed over. What little rust was on the car was replaced with new sheet metal as to reduce the possibilities of problems in the future. The previous owner had the interior redone shortly before I purchased the car and the seats are very comfortable and clean. The engine is the 462 Lincoln big block which was used in these cars since they have been produced. In the later part of 1968 Lincoln started putting the Ford 460 big block in these cars and I have been told by several Ford technicians that the 462 is a better engine than the 460 and that is saying a lot as the 460 is a great motor as well. I had the A/C vacuumed down and changed over the new R34. I have had all of the electric window switches rebuilt and they work as they should now. I have purchased a new window regulator motor for the driver's side rear window but have not installed it yet. I will try to have the window motor replaced before the car sales. All of the other windows work as well as the door locks. I have replaced all of the light bulbs and fuses to make sure they all work as they should. I also replaced the fly wheel (flex wheel) and starter just last week as the old fly wheel had a bad spot on it. I have not lowered the car after installing the new 22" wheels and tires but if the new owner wanted to, the car would look awesome with air bag suspension. I have the original wheels and white wall tires that were on the car and will go to the new owner. Like any other classic car there are still some things that could be done but it is ready to take out to cruise. I drove the car to the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge a couple weeks ago and it was a pleasure to drive. I'm sure I am leaving some things out. All of the hard work has been done, now you can just customize it to what you want.
