1969 Buick Riviera. The car was painted earlier this year, the body is very straight. However, it’s not perfect, there are some small dents. The biggest one is on the driver side front fender, and its only noticeable from certain angles. Also, there are a few hail dents on the hood and trunk, but they are pretty small. Other than some small imperfections in the paint the car looks great and gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. This car still has the original 430 V8 and transmission, they are believed to have been rebuilt at some point. However, we don’t have any paperwork from the previous owner to substantiate that claim but the car runs beautifully and shifts strong. It has a 3-inch exhaust with mufflers so it’s not obnoxious but the 430 still sounds absolutely menacing going down the road. Factory A/C car, it does not blow cold right now, but the compressor will cycle on and off and there is still some pressure in the system, it likely just needs to be recharged. Under the hood, all the power steering lines have been replaced. It’s got a new Quadrajet carburetor that was tuned by a local shop and the car starts every time on the first crank, it does not bog at all and the throttle response is great. We also installed a new in-tank fuel pump, replaced fuel lines, and replaced all the belts. The headlights work but they do not flip around into the grill on their own, we replumbed the entire vacuum headlight system with new line, and it looks like the vacuum storage tank inside the fender is leaking and the vacuum relay for the headlights isn’t working. The parts are available online and once they are replaced the headlights will work. The interior is about 90% complete, the seats were recently recovered, and it’s got a brand-new headliner. Underneath the carpet, it has brand new sound deadener so its surprisingly quiet on the inside while going down the road.
