1969 Plymouth Road Runner For Sale440ci Six Pack & 390hp 5-Speed Tremec with Pistol Grip ShifterThis Road Runner is unquestionably the nicest we've every seen. An incredibly built and beautifully finished example of a true Muscle Car.At one time, this classic Road Runner was a green 383 car, now refinished in black on black with a 440 Six Pack. Nearly 15 years ago, this Road Runner was transformed into what you see today. The very best of everything has been added to create this stunning work of art. Over this 15 year period, the two previous owners had continually added new enhancements to the car while maintaining the original stock look and feel.A 4? file of receipts will show the tens of thousands of dollars spent on the ongoing restoration and upgrades to this Road Runner. The base coat clear coat high gloss deep black paint looks as if you could put your hand through it. The chrome bumpers are as good as new. Every piece of trim including vent window and window frame moldings were redone at a cost of over $6000. The undercarriage is spotless and rust free since day one. Being an Arizona car for most of its life surely had something to do with that.The completely rebuilt engine is a date code correct 440ci 390hp Six Pack with a new Tremec 5-speed transmission and a Pistol Grip shifter. The Holley carburetors were also rebuilt. Bringing up the rear is a 3:73 Posi. Other features added to this Road Runner include front & rear power disc brakes with a Wildwood dual master cylinder, Line-Loc, automatic muffler cutouts, aluminum heads & intake manifold, MSD 6AL electronic ignition, Firm Feel steering box and Grant steering wheel, Mopar Performance valve covers, power emergency brake, oversized four-core radiator, Pioneer AM-FM 4-speaker stereo with 6-CD changer, massive power amps and sub-woofer in the trunk, Beep-Beep horn and more. American Racing Crager style chrome wheels ride on Goodyear GT radials with 275/60/R15s in front and 245/60/R15s in the rear. As an added convenience, an electronic alarm and power door locking system with remote was installed.This finely tuned machine runs just fine on Premium fuel. For a bit more performance, an octane boost every now and then would do wonders. These high performance engines love it!!Currently, the temperature gauge is not working.
