1972 ford F250 Explorer 2WD Runs great! Strong running 390 with a holly four barrel Carburetor, Holly Street dominator intake, manifold, and a Mallory unilite electronic, ignition distributor. Dual exhaust, sounds excellent, not quiet, but not loud either. automatic transmission, shifts firm, fluid is nice and red. Just did an oil change as well, Delo 400 10/30 full synthetic, Including 11 ounces of zinc supplement. The odometer shows 3600 miles, of course we all know it’s at least 103600. The lady I got it from said it was her husband‘s pride and joy, and he had recently had the engine re-built before he passed away. I do not have any receipts or proof of that. But it appears to have been done at sometime in its life. Power steering, (leaks, power, steering fluid, not sure where it’s from, I have not even looked yet) power drum brakes. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights all work as they should. Heater and heater controls all function properly. Speedometer and all gauges function as they should except for the rear gas tank gauge. Auxiliary gas tank is full of fresh fuel by accident about a month ago, it is not connected at the moment due to the fuel switchover valve being questionable. I have ran it off the rear tank before, so I know the tank is in good shape and not full of junk. I added stabil gas additive to it. I believe it has 410 gears in the rear end, it seems to be pretty low geared. It will do 65 or 70 down the highway OK however. Steering is tight, goes straight down the road, no bump steering required. I Purchased this truck in August 2021, with the intentions to restore it, due to its way above average condition. I’ve owned five of these trucks in the past, and currently still own a beautiful 1970 all original Ranger so I know what to look for when buying these old girls. I started out like I always do replacing the obvious Worn out components, etc.. As this truck had set for a few years after the owner
