1972 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Convertible, R107 Series, Metallic Red with Palomino MB Tex Interior, Two Owners, 125K Very Well Maintained Miles, This 450SL (4.5 liter) was produced in the first year of the series and has a January production date, Matching hardtop, The body and underside of the car are free of rust and the Ziebart application was applied upon delivery, The seat upholstery is all in original condition as are the door panels, The German canvas convertible top is in 'as new' condition, The 4.5 liter V-8 engine runs and drives properly with a recent complete service performed, The automatic transmission shifts properly and smoothly, The power disc brakes on all four wheels work properly and smoothly, All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges/lights (temperature, fuel and oil pressure) work correctly, as do the lights, horn, turn signals, tachometer and speedometer. The mileage is 125869, This SL has factory air conditioning. Overall, this SL is a great driver and worthy of a restoration if one wishes.
