1976 Two-Tone Ford F-150 Ranger XLT Why This Truck Is Special The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from 1972 to 1979. In 1976, the F-Series became the best-selling trucks in America, a position it has continued to hold ever since. We have a beautiful two-tone 1976 Ford F150 Ranger XLT here at Skyway Classics with only 21650 miles on it that is mostly original in the factory correct paint scheme and interior and powered by the big 390 cubic inch V8 engine with cold blowing air. Mechanical The engine is a strong running 390 cubic inch V8 instead of the smaller engines usually found in these series trucks. This 390 Ford engine was a great engine for these trucks as it had good horsepower and torque all thru the rpm ranges.
