1978 CJ7 - 304v8 with auto 400. I’ve had a lot of work done to this jeep over the last two years and driven it very little. It is a lot of fun and gets attention from everyone. it is in great shape, but is not perfect. It’s drives well for a 78, but steering could always be improved. Rebuilt transfer case New wheels, tires All new suspension, 4” lift Steering gear box - AGR superbox2 Tie rods Brake lines Engine work - seals, cylinder heads Exhaust manifold Pre heater hose All new hoses Thermostat Stereo, wiring, speakers Starter Heavy duty alternator Battery Starter solenoid Starter Water pump Steering rebuild, knuckle Ignition Carburetor Fan and shroud Steering wheel Headlights Soft cab top Gauges(new gauge cluster on back order, have temp gauge mounted below other gauges, fuel gauge not working until replaced) Skid plate New carpet New front seats, rear in very good condition LOTS of other things that aren’t coming to mind. Bestop soft top is not new but in good condition.(not in pictures) Things still needed to do: Replace seat belts (work but do not extend as well as I’d like. I have the rear seat belts, but not installed until I find the tumble seat strike plate. New windshield, crack in current one Cleanup under dash wiring Find and install rear tumble seat striker plate Replace the choke knob with one that matches the other originals.(it’s not bad looking as-is, just bothers me). Would like to add sliders for the two front seats to give more space. I would love to find a new home for it, but I’m not interested in giving it away.
