1979 Porsche 911. Finished in rare Light Blue Metallic with black factory leather sports seats and stunning polished Fuchs wheels this car sports its original engine and transmission. Purchased with a mere 79,000 miles it now has 81,000, believed original. There is no sign of collision damage and the paint, a likely respray from some years ago shows excellent despite a few chips here and there. Likewise, other than slight wear on the driver's side seat bolster the interior is in excellent condition with a flawless dash, nice door panels and pockets, carpet and a very classy set of coco mats. Everything works, and I mean everything. The targa top fits perfectly, folds up easily and is in very good condition. All of the weatherstripping and seals are soft and doing their job. The aftermarket Alpine head unit and underseat power amp sound great through six speakers. This car runs and drives like new. I have owned close to a dozen air cooled 911's and can say that this little targa is the smoothest running of them all. The 5-speed 915 transmission shifts like butter, with none of the clunkiness common to these gear boxes. I don't think this engine has ever been opened up or resealed (there are some weepy areas) but it has been updated with Carrera oil fed chain tensioners, head studs and a pop off valve has been added to the air box. The car is complete, unmodified and unmolested. The AC systems is still R12 and the factory air pump remains and is belted up. The ride height has been lowered to give the car a nice stance. The Bilstein shocks show no sign of leakage. The car is tight and tracks straight down the road on a stock size set of fresh Potenza RE960 Pole Position tires.
