Description
1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Nice original car that runs and drives excellent. Matador Red with black interior and white convertible top. Car still has it's original drivetrain - 230 c.i. inline 6 cyl with power glide transmission.
Everything is working on the car, including the heater and horn. New 17' aluminum rally style wheels with new tires give the car a good look without drastically changing it. Car has had one older repaint (in original color).
Paint looks good overall but definitely shows it's age when up close. Good solid floors and trunk. The best I can tell it has it's original body panels. Odometer shows just over 36k miles, title supports mileage as original.
Original window sticker, owner's manual, and build sheet. Comes with several new parts including new carpet, wheel mouldings, window cranks, door sills, and arm rests. Original wheel covers included too.
I've had several 1st gen Camaros and this is an impressive running and driving car. The body is solid without rattles, squeaks and shakes Camaros (especially convertibles) are known for. Dependable as a new one- it starts right up, doesn't smoke or run hot.
Little 6 cyl is stronger than you'd expect. Trans shifts fine, stops straight etc. I wouldn't be afraid to drive cross country just like it sits. Classic Chevrolet Camaro Buyer's Guide
The Chevrolet Camaro launched in September 1966 as Chevy's direct response to the Ford Mustang, and for over five decades it has defined American performance for an entire generation of enthusiasts. Whether you're hunting a numbers-matching first-generation Z/28, a survivor split-bumper second-gen, or a clean third-gen IROC-Z, the Camaro buyer's market is deep, varied, and full of pitfalls for the unprepared.
