1968 Chevy Camaro RS NUMBERS MATCHING 1968 GEN-1 CAMARO RALLYE SPORT Built third week of July 1968 at the Norwood Plant in Cincinnati, Ohio w/ “Gold Standard” trim level in the one-year-only, super rare British Green (paint code ZZ). Same color was used on the 1-of-1 1968 COPO Camaro built specially for Chevrolet’s General Manager Elliott “Pete” Estes! Paired with a Black convertible POWER top with cover boot, hide away headlights and classic rallye wheels. Original Turbo-Fire 327 engine topped with a 4 barrel carb (10.0:1 compression rating) and hydraulic lifters powering the 3 speed automatic TH-350 transmission (3:55/1) with console mounted staple shifter to 12 bolt rearend.
Interior features the factory optional RPO-N34 walnut steering wheel, “Astro ventilation system”/factory A/C (needs recharge-rebuild-replacement?), Retro style AM/FM/MP3 in-dash radio. ALL power- steering, brakes, windows and convertible top. Original cocktail shakers are intact! Spare tire/jack/cover included.
Purchased third party from an estate in 2022. Prior owner purchased in 1988, with 87658 miles, (photocopy of title in hand) restoring/loving it until his death. Heirs stated “engine rebuilt in 2015”. 2022 repairs by current owner include front suspension, replacing all fluids, belts and hoses, multiple electric components, fuel sensor and O.E.
