Description
1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible. Car has no title car has no title (not needed in NH for cars over 20 years old.) Will be sold with current NH registration and bill of sale. 6-cylinder, 3 on the tree. 10 bolt Posi. A little over 800 6 cylinders were made for this year.
The body retains all its original panels. Minor scuffs in body work over the years as seen in pics. The car is extremely solid. Trunk still holds its factory speckle paint. Trunk lip with gasket is mint.
All glass is good. All chrome in good driver quality condition. The inside of car is really nice - no rips, original rug. Could use a cleaning. Everything works except radio (radio has power but no sound).
The dash pad is perfect. Metal dash perfect where VIN# is. The car comes with an original protector plate and warranty card and other miscellaneous original paperwork. Original Posi sticker still on trunk lid from factory.
Manual convertible top in decent condition - no rips - has glass back window. New: master cylinder, rubber brake lines, battery, alternator, fuel filter. Car runs and drives, stops as it should. The car has been sitting for a while but always runs.
Good tires. I would change fluids and drive for the summer. The car was garaged for a long time. Classic Chevrolet Chevelle Buyer's Guide
The Chevrolet Chevelle launched in 1964 as Chevrolet's mid-size A-body entry, and within two years it had become the foundation of one of the most successful muscle-car lineages in American automotive history. The 1970 LS6 SS454 Chevelle remains the high-water mark of factory muscle-car horsepower from the entire era — a rating of 450 horsepower from a stock 454 that put GM's Chevelle definitively at the top of the 1970 muscle-car hierarchy. Across fourteen model years (1964-1977), the Chevelle market is one of the deepest and most active segments in the entire American collector hobby — with documented original SS454 cars commanding six-figure money and clean driver-quality cars remaining attainable. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any Chevelle SS variant.
