1940 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Sedan that is only a THREE OWNER car and has only 18,853 original miles! The original mileage **IS DOCUMENTED AS ACTUAL** on the title. This car spent all of its life in North Carolina and SW Virginia and has always been garage kept. The 2nd owner loved this car and was his special out on Sunday or special occasion car until he passed away about 25-30 years ago in his 90s. A friend of the family, who was familiar with the car, attempted to buy it but it took him 10 years before the wife was willing to sell it. The 3rd owner had the car repainted in the original color, added the electric fuel pump, the under-dash gauges, directional signals, dual exhaust, and converted to 12 volts. In addition, radial tires were added. It is believed that the upholstery was done at some point many decades earlier by the 2nd owner. Possibly to preserve the original seats, but I cannot confirm that story. This car has all working gauges and lights. Runs and drives excellent. Starts right up, idles perfect, and makes very good power. It does not have excessive play in the steering and nothing is needed to be a driver. Paint and chrome are all nice. Engine bay and trunk are tidy. This is definitely a good one to take to the car shows! Displays very well and is very showy. This car also looks better in person than in the photos! Not many cars around like that. To sum this car up, this is a real actual low mileage 83 year old car that can/should be occasionally driven vs going into a museum to collect dust. The few updates that have been done can assure that the car will get there reliably, but could be undone for any purist out there.
